Our interview with Laura Reilly is a W, chat. Laura—writer and founder of the Magasin newsletter—shared some of her day in Greenpoint to chat with us on why every brand is trying to be or at least sound French, what sets her newsletter apart in an increasingly crowded and noisy space, maybe not going back to the apartment of a dude who’s got a copy of American Psycho on his coffee table, The Weird Real cosign, what the hell are the High Sport Kick Flared Stretch pants that have the girlies in a headlock, her famous readers showing love, revisiting and evaluating TF’s womenswear hierarchy, whether or not newsletter writers are the new influencers, the impending launch of Magasin’s menswear column and her favorite menswear brands and designers right now, what menswear and womenswear can learn from each other, how she mines data and her popping chat, the newsletterification of larger media companies and if that worries her, separating the woman from the newsletter, first date fits, what you should be gifting your girl, war stories from the branded content trenches, when buying clothing that ends up wearing you goes wrong and much more on Laura Reilly’s interview with The Only Podcast That Matters™.
