We are featuring this as part of our February, 'Causes We Love' series, which spotlights people and charitable giving that Lee Harris Energy supports throughout the year. A passionate defender and supporter of marginalized communities, and a Human Potential Leader, Justin founded Safe Place International, an extraordinary organization that supports underrepresented communities through social action. This is an encore show and was originally released in May 2021. Alignment, connection, and inclusion are themes of this very special episode with Justin Hilton, philanthropist and activist. He has also spent the last two decades leading workshops and intensives with thought leaders like Debbie Ford and Alanis Morissette. This conversation is heart-centered and inspiring, offering insight into why connection and deep relationships are an essential part of healing, especially for someone who has experienced unimaginable pain and suffering. Justin shares more about what led him from freelance philanthropy to creating Safe Place and offers some advice on how to start an organization or charity. He speaks to finding ways to say, "Yes" when larger culture is screaming fear and he reminds us that despite the news, on the ground there is so much beauty and huge acts of generosity. A dad of twins, he speaks to the journey of parenting with self-compassion and authenticity.
