Thank you for watching and supporting True Crime Recaps! After recovering from prostate cancer, 63-year-old retired Navy officer Tony Parsons set out on a 104-mile charity bike ride through the Scottish Highlands in September 2017. During the ride, he was struck by a truck driven by twin brothers Sandy and Robert McKellar. Although Tony was still alive after the crash, instead of calling for help, the brothers placed him and his belongings into their vehicle, drove him into a remote area, and buried him. Tony was reported missing, and his family spent years searching for answers as police had no clear leads. The case remained unsolved until 2020, when Sandy McKellar confessed to his fiancée, Caroline Muirhead, after their relationship began. She secretly recorded conversations, gathered evidence, and assisted investigators in locating the burial site, leading to the discovery of Tony’s remains in 2021. Medical findings later suggested Tony may have survived for 20 to 30 minutes after the crash and could potentially have lived if he had received medical attention. Both brothers eventually pleaded guilty. Sandy received a 12-year sentence, while Robert received just over 5 years for his role in the cover-up. The case has drawn widespread attention not only for the crime itself, but for the decisions made afterward, the prolonged deception, and the complex role of those who helped bring the truth to light. #TrueCrimeRecaos TonyParsons #ShouldIMarryAMurderer #ScottishHighlands #CarolineMuirhead #DeepDive Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNbo_wIXXSbeJC5VoauEeVg/join SUBSCRIBE TO THE YOUTUBE SHOW!
