@AaronRaitiere has been compared to legends from John Prine to Shel Silverstein for his eccentric, anything-goes approach to songwriting. But the Kentucky native also knows his way around writing a hit: Ella Langley, Miranda Lambert, and Lady Gaga have all covered his songs. In this rambunctious, irreverent conversation in the Nashville Now cabin, Raitiere lets us into his songwriting process and also shares some behind-the-scenes tales of his friendship with the late Bob Weir and the lost project they were working on before the Grateful Dead icon’s death. #country is here. #nashville is now. #countrymusic Available wherever you get your podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/rolling-stone-nashville-now/id1826878725 Check out our Hear Now playlist on Spotify, updated weekly: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/68zjbsCucBRpXX23jBWyGi?si=uc8BMcNmRJqGDtAmvWiXOg
