I’d like to introduce you to Alyssa M., one of the Teachers Assistants in our course, Your First Rental Property. She’s an educator and dancer who lives in a low-cost-of-living area (the Quad Cities, at the border of Iowa and Illinois), but -- for intriguing reasons you’ll hear about during our interview -- she’s decided to invest out-of-state. A couple weeks ago, Alyssa went under contract on a property in Memphis, Tenn. As an alumni of YFRP, Alyssa has learned how to search for properties from a distance and intelligently make offers sight-unseen. After she entered into a binding contract for the property, she flew out to Memphis to tour the home in-person and conduct the due diligence phase of the investment. We recorded this conversation riiiiight after she returned from that trip. Did she decide to follow through with the purchase? Or did she know enough to walk away? (After all, an important skill that separates amateurs from excellent investors is the ability to discern an “okay” deal from a great one.) Why is she investing out-of-state, given that she lives in a low-cost-of-living (LCOL) area? You’ll hear the answers to all of these and more in this unedited, unfiltered recording of our *live* interview. _______________ Follow us on Stereo: https://stereo.com/paulapant Get updates on our real estate course: https://affordanything.com/viplist Follow us everywhere else!
