When 22-year-old Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind disappeared from her Fargo apartment in 2017, it seemed she had vanished without a trace. Eight months pregnant and minutes away from a family lunch, she was last seen heading upstairs to help a neighbor with a sewing project. What followed was a search marked by police missteps, community outrage, and one horrifying discovery that shocked the nation. In this episode of Clues, hosts Kaelyn Moore and Morgan Absher uncover the investigation behind Savanna’s murder, from the neighbor’s chilling deception to the newborn baby found alive in the killer’s apartment, and examine how her story ignited a nationwide movement for missing and murdered Indigenous women. Some crimes are solved by a single clue — one overlooked fingerprint, a missing puzzle piece, or a detail hiding in plain sight.
