** NEW MERCH ** Jackets & Sweatshirts, Thermo Mugs!! Daniel Davis Deep Dive Merch: Etsy store https://www.etsy.com/shop/DanielDavisDeepDive?ref=seller-platform-mcnav Ana Kaparian and Danny argue that the war with Iran was unnecessary and driven by misinformation, missed diplomacy, and outside influence, and warn it will lead to prolonged, unwinnable conflict. Key points: They reject claims by figures like Sean Hannity, Jack Keane, and Mike Pompeo that Iran would use nuclear weapons, and dispute the idea of an imminent threat. They claim a major diplomatic deal was close—reportedly including zero uranium stockpiling—meaning war could have been avoided. They argue Donald Trump rejected this opportunity due to poor advice, pressure from Israel, and influence from figures like Jared Kushner with potential conflicts of interest. They suggest Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli policy aim at weakening Iran and expanding regional power, not just security. They warn the conflict is militarily unwinnable, noting Iran’s size, population, and preparedness, and comparing it to the scale of the Vietnam War. They highlight growing regional instability (Hezbollah, Houthis, multiple fronts) and argue escalation will lead to endless violence rather than resolution. They express concern about U.S. troop deployments and casualties, and fear a disastrous ground war. They conclude the war has strengthened Iran’s leverage and made a peaceful resolution more difficult, with both sides now far apart—especially since Iran frames the conflict as a fight for survival.
