Can A Pandemic Positively Change Us? This week I decided to continue to redirect my podcast toward the current situation. Amidst the chaos, I was able to link up with Dr Attam Singh via Skype and record another COVID19 Special. My guest this week is Dr Attam Singh. A Clinical Associate of the London Pain Clinic (Hyperlink https://www.londonpainclinic.com) and Consultant in Pain Medicine. Dr Singh is one of the 1000s of doctors drafted straight into emergency rotas staffing intensive care units looking after the sickest patients with COVID19. We talk about: * How his job has completely changed over the last 2 weeks * Anesthesia as a speciality and how that relates to treating COVID patients * The pressing issues regarding drugs and oxygen supplies in the UK * Current treatments for COVID * Coping mechanisms on the frontline * How we can find the potential positives of a negative situation Initially we were due to talk about the use of CBD (an active ingredient of cannabis) in pain management, but we felt it more appropriate to dive into his experience of the pandemic thus far. We’ll be re-recording an episode on CBD with Dr Singh when possible.
