Jacob Holt Johnson has pleaded guilty to aggravated murder in the death of Summer Roney. Now, newly uncovered search warrants raise disturbing questions about the Utah murder case, potential security camera footage, and evidence investigators reported finding on a computer seized from his home. Hidden True Crime’s Lauren Matthias was inside the courtroom for the October 22, 2026, plea hearing. In this update, she breaks down the agreement calling for life without parole, Summer’s family’s emotional reaction, and a troubling discrepancy between the account presented during the plea hearing and Summer’s documented cause of death. We also examine Johnson’s statements to detectives, a recorded jail call about saved Blink security videos, a warrant for his Google account, and the reported discovery of child sexual abuse material that prompted a separate search warrant. What did investigators ultimately recover—and what questions remain unanswered? More importantly, are there more victims who deserve justice? Sponsors: Hims- Ready to reach your goals?
