Award Winning food policy journalist Helena Bottemiller Evich has covered Washington for 15 years. Her job: separate the rhetoric from the action. She joins Dr. Mindy Pelz to give the clearest breakdown yet of what's actually happening to the American food system in 2026 — what MAHA has and hasn't done, what's actually changing, and what consumers need to know right now. They cover the GRAS loophole, food dyes, glyphosate and the Bayer Supreme Court case, the new dietary guidelines, school meals, ultra-processed food addiction, and the growing gap between what this administration is saying and what it's actually doing.
