Oliver Anthony is a folk singer on a mission. Embodying the Appalachian rust belt, forgotten America he stands up for the “nobodies”, the forgotten working people of the brave new globalised world. Winston sits down with him after his now viral ARC Conference speech to discuss his Christianity, his musical influences and his grappling with new found fame. Being attacked by the mainstream media and facing the behemoth monopolies of the music industry like Live Nation, he has launched his Rural Revival - announcing independent shows that put him face to face with people. No more middle men. We discuss his love of Rage Agaisnt The Machine and early Country music, the inspirations behind his hit song ‘Rich Men North of Richmond’. Republican and Democrats are both “full of crap” - Hope won’t be found in politicians be they Trump or Biden - rather they will be found in communities and neighbours working together. Starting with helping North Carolina rebuild after the hurricane. All this and much more… #music #oliveranthony #politics ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To see more exclusive content and interviews consider subscribing to my substack here: https://www.winstonmarshall.co.uk/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FOLLOW ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA: Substack: https://www.winstonmarshall.co.uk/ X: https://twitter.com/mrwinmarshall Insta: https://www.instagram.com/winstonmarshall Linktree: https://linktr.ee/winstonmarshall ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
