Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead with apparent stab wounds in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home on December 14, 2025, and their son, Nick Reiner, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the killings. An attack at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island left two students dead and nine others wounded when a gunman opened fire inside an engineering building, and authorities have released images of a suspect and offered a reward for information as the search continues.
