The Kentucky Goblins, the UFO abduction of Carl Higdon, and the mysterious hand of John the Baptist — this week’s Ninjas Are Butterflies takes us from one of America’s strangest cryptid encounters to an alleged alien abduction and the bizarre history of an ancient Christian relic. We dive into the legendary Kelly-Hopkinsville encounter, also known as the Hopkinsville Goblins or Kentucky Goblins, where a Kentucky family claimed strange creatures surrounded their farmhouse in 1955. Then we investigate the incredible story of Carl Higdon, a Wyoming hunter who claimed he encountered an extraterrestrial being and was taken aboard a UFO in 1974. Finally, we explore the history of holy Christian relics and the strange journey of a relic believed to be the hand of John the Baptist. Cryptids, goblins, UFOs, alien abductions, church history, ancient relics, and the usual rabbit holes — welcome back to Ninjas Are Butterflies.
