This mashup episode is personal. It starts with me sharing a terrifying experience I had with my daughter Bella during a cab ride in Boston — a ride where we were completely out of control, at the mercy of someone else. That moment hit me hard because it wasn’t just about a crazy driver — it was a real metaphor for how many of us are living. I’m talking to you today about the reality that far too many people are sitting in the backseat of their own lives, letting fear, old stories, emotions, or even other people take the wheel. Then, I bring in a conversation with my dear friend Tony Robbins, and we talk about what it takes to truly take back control of your life. Tony reminds us that fear is physical, and courage isn’t the absence of fear — it’s doing it anyway. He breaks down how managing your emotional state and reconnecting to a compelling future changes everything. And I share what it means to build confidence by building a reputation with yourself — keeping the promises you make, even the small ones, especially the small ones. We cover the false beliefs that are holding you back — the lies that say you are your possessions, your accomplishments, what others say about you, or how you look. No, you are none of that. You are who you decide to be. I walk through the most common "cab drivers" people hand the wheel to: fear, emotions, childhood trauma, lack of belief — even imaginary opinions. But here's the truth: you and God are the only ones who should be in the driver's seat. The episode ends with real, practical steps — how to change your identity by adjusting the internal thermostat that sets the temperature for every result in your life. I break down how to use associations, immersion, and 30-day sprints to reset your beliefs. And I challenge you to do one thing: write a new story. One where you’re finally in control. Key Takeaways: - A wild Boston cab ride becomes the perfect metaphor for losing — and reclaiming — control of your life. - Why fear, emotions, and other people are the most common hidden “drivers” of your behavior. - Tony Robbins on managing your emotional state, building a compelling future, and shifting your physical state to beat fear. - How to build unshakable self-confidence by keeping promises to yourself. - The flawed beliefs that rob us of self-worth and the identity shift that changes everything. - The internal “thermostat” metaphor — and how to raise your standards in life, faith, business, and relationships. This isn’t just a motivational talk — it’s a wake-up call. If you’re ready to stop being a passenger in your life and finally grab the wheel, this one’s for you. Let’s step up, together.
