“Two Googly Eyes” Iron Mountain, Michigan. The Upper Peninsula. Postcard country: pine trees, quiet streets, the kind of place where nothing bad is supposed to happen. But in three days, seven men came knocking at one unassuming sting house. This is the story of one of them. Kelsey Burbank is 29. He coordinates online orders at the local Walmart. By day, he's just another face in a small town. By night, he's "Two Googly Eyes" on Grindr, and he's been messaging someone he believes is a 15-year-old boy. He knows the age. He says he wishes he didn't. He keeps typing anyway. On the other end of his explicit two-hour chat? An undersheriff. What follows is a raw confrontation with Chris: the excuses, the deflection, the claim he was "just looking for friends." From first message to handcuffs to an 18-month sentence, this is the predator next door - exposed.
