Reports estimate nearly 1,800 people have been arrested and 500 law enforcement officials have been injured, with Fox News reporting estimates of "more than 550,000 people" participating across France. As historical French landmarks were being vandalized and burned, French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte were filmed dancing at a Celine Dion concert in Nanterre, just west of Paris. In Limoges, a fire authorities say was deliberately set gutted the city's historic town hall, built in 1883. The local prefect called it "a catastrophe for heritage." Beatrice Rosen is a French-American actress known for roles in major films including The Dark Knight (2008) and Chasing Liberty (2004). She has appeared in numerous television series including Charmed, Smallville, Harry's Law, and Backstrom.
