Dan Pfeiffer argues that Third Way's $15 million campaign against the DSA is counterproductive and a waste of resources for Democratic infrastructure.

“It is counterproductive. It is going to end best case scenario it's lighting $15 million that could be used to recruit and train candidates for grassroots organizing lighting that on fire. That's best case scenario. Most likely case scenario to me is it just strengthens the DSA's hand.”

The combination of the failing economy and President Trump's low approval ratings on the issue suggests Democrats will perform well in the 2026 midterms.

Uh that that uh could be a problem for a lot of Republicans, and I think this is why we see things like, uh them struggling to come up with narratives about, you know, whether James Talarico is trans or not, because if they're talking about anything material to voters, uh we are uh look”
