“If he does it, it's not a business project. It's a It's a vanity project. vanity. I don't mean that in a critical sense. I'm saying he'll do it because he has the money, but it's not a there's no business case for going to Mars.”

“I think it will be a collaboration but I think there will be I hope America continues to lead we've always led but that doesn't mean we can't have partners and so I hope we continue to lead I hope there is a US base on Mars eventually and I think a lot of people do envision it's sort of like Antarct”

“So this is the first time if this is the case, if we go to Mars, if we settle Mars as humans, this will be the first time in history that a species will knowingly place itself in an environment that almost guarantees biological divergence.”
