Trisha Paytas prefers the Oscars to be more representative of popular entertainment rather than focusing strictly on traditional artistic merits.

“like popularity alone I feel like it should win based on popularity like the we don't talk about about Bruno and stuff which lost to Billy eyh but it's I was shocked it didn't win it was so good”

She sees award ceremonies as a valuable opportunity for filmmakers to come together, interact, and learn from one another.

“So to be paid [laughter and gasps] to be brought together and to see each other and to hang out at these, you know, events and and roundts and stuff is actually really nice.”

He considers the current awards season an affirmation that his entire career has been leading up to this moment.

“it feels like it is um an affirmation that everything that I tried to achieve from 30 years ago through my career up till now was all leading up to this point”

The Whale is a life-affirming movie that features an incredible emotional performance.

“I walked out of that film with the most beautiful life-affirming message about people being amazing and humanity and love”

Everything Everywhere All At Once is currently the front-runner for the best picture Oscar.
