He considers the cleanup of red tide a priority because he loves his home of Madeira Beach.

“I can't go fishing I want to help everybody here in Madeira Beach cuz this is where I'm from and so I thought well I'll just help clean up the red tide because nobody else will”

The current red tide event is a human-caused, unnatural phenomenon fueled by toxic runoff rather than a naturally occurring cycle.

“this is not natural this is not something that just happens by nature you know this is a direct result of all the toxic runoff being like leading to the ocean”
