Artists are better off curating their own work and managing their own promotional path rather than relying entirely on record label support.

“The artists that are able to curate on their own or with a small group of people are going to succeed and and have the backing. Like TI came up here, Killer Mike came up here. I spent my own money and it's a lot of money. That was part of the problem back in the day.”
