Charlamagne believes that rappers are entitled to express their personal conflicts and life experiences through their music.

“Yeah, I mean, that's the thing, right? We want artists to express themselves through their music. So, you know, you know, if you got things going on in your life, it's fair game to express things through your music.”

Funny Marco believes that contemporary fame in the entertainment industry is currently driven by visibility rather than skill.

BG believes that his music and entertainment career should be protected as an expression of his freedom of speech while on parole.

“I've been doing this since I was 13 years old, like, and you're trying to send me back to jail for just simply trying to make a living. You know what I mean? So, the judge agreed with me and said it was a violation of my freedom of speech.”
