Joe Budden views his podcasting career as his most significant career pivot and a more impactful contribution to the hip-hop community than his music.

“I'd say the podcast probably easily easily it touches too many people plenty of people that wouldn't be attracted to my rhyming style or my voice or my Cadence or just anything right but in podcas and you just attract such a wider net”

He believes that when it comes to live show lineups, the best performers should be saved for last to keep the audience engaged.

“if you want the standing o you put the big boys last if you want to keep the crowd wanting more you kept the big boys last”

He thinks that one should avoid self-congratulation and instead focus on continuous improvement and achieving the next set of goals.

“i don't like to self-congratulate either so i just look to just keep it stepping you always want to improve your zone yeah yeah yeah well whatever we achieve now it's never going to be good enough you're always looking at the next thing”
