“It is true. We must thank Breijit and uh Emanuel Mcronone for that ill advised lawsuit. Obviously, I feel like that ripped a hole in reality um and made things even more global than they already were.”

Hasan Piker believes that it is strategically disastrous to attack the judge presiding over one's own defamation trial.

“what you shouldn't probably do is further defame the judge that is deliberating over your case in a defamation trial and he's basically he can't it seems like he can't stop himself”

The current legal standard for defamation in the US should be revised to lower the barrier for holding media organizations liable for knowingly spreading falsehoods.

“I think actual malice should not be the requirement if reliable I think of a television network or a publication puts out information they know is false they should absolutely be liable for it and that is enough to show”

Legal challenges filed against independent media are intimidation tactics and winning them sets a necessary precedent that discourages future frivolous suits intended to harm businesses.

“these type of suits are intimidation tactics and um it is it's each time uh somebody wins against these type of suits, it sets a precedent uh uh that that is helpful and makes makes sort of frivolous suits um uh less and less likely.”
