Thomas Davis admits to experiencing an opioid addiction that developed during his later playing career after he began overusing pain medication following surgery.

“Ended up having a opioid addiction. Extremely tough to sit and say that because I've always been a person and a player that said that I would never allow anything to control me in any way, right? No sport no no drug, no drink ever.”
