Perfection was a stressful game to play as a child.

Mariah Amato believes that seeing actors from past shows who were once perceived as significantly older reveals that they were actually quite young at the time.

“you think she's so much older than you and then you're like we're the same age”

Ken O recalls playing the original Surgeon Simulator with fond memories.

“it was a great game back then yeah cool”

He prefers 90s music and culture because it felt darker and more authentic compared to what he perceives as the overly positive nature of contemporary culture.

“I miss that kind of angst that kind of little dark kind of everybody everyone everyone you knew was kind of wicking every girl was kind of wicked they had a healthy everyone was suicidal”

While some of his nostalgic memories of games were shattered, others remained intact after seeing them played by younger people.

“Having watched all that, my rosecolored glasses are a little cracked for some of the games, but for others, honestly, are pretty much unshattered.”

Joey maintains that there was a clear distinction between Western cartoons and Japanese anime for him as a child.

“but things that are on like the VHS tapes that my grandma would seem to me oh those animes anime yeah so for me there's like a really clear distinction”

Connor believes that anime like Pokemon appealed to him as a child because of the structured, goal-oriented narrative arc.

“for me it was just the fact that my mom would just push it a lot because it was the she knew that it was the easiest way for me to appreciate the Japanese culture”

Classic Chuck E. Cheese animatronics are scary and unsettling to look at.

“It's more [ __ ] up than you could imagine. >> Old Chuck-e-Cheese. >> Yes. It's so scary. I like was YouTubing people at the party like this is what it used to look like.”
