He believes that working with a familiar creative team that understands his comedic style was essential to the successful hosting experience.

“one of the reasons I think I was able to enjoy myself so much as I knew I had we worked very hard to get material that we liked MH and I think the call came in from the Oscars in late November it was the day after we got back from Spain”

He claims that being in the audience as an attendee was an enjoyable experience, though he felt some nervous tension for Conan.

“it was really exciting to just be there in the audience watching you and and just like hearing the jokes for the first time you know I mean it was it was awesome it was really really cool”

He feels that the process of preparing for the show was greatly improved by reuniting with a reliable group of writers who were already familiar with the host.

“we reassembled our old team and they was the best move they they were the funniest yeah it was so much fun it was great Inc great to have that room that writer room good to see them all again a nice reunion”
