Ryan Clark argues that NFL players should maintain professional behavior with the media even in difficult situations because media personnel are a significant part of the sports industry.

“I always thought the meat is your enemy and I had coaches I say Nick sabians tell us that they don't like you they're using you to make their job easier they don't like you don't let them be your friends don't let them come to your Christmas parties but the media is a very big part of every sport”

He refused to accommodate the media because he believed they would exploit him and he needed to maintain personal boundaries to protect his image.

“I'm not going to be that guy that they could say stuff about and then think they'd be my friend tomorrow”

Athletes should manage their emotions after a loss but must still address the media as part of their professional duties.

“Obviously, there are no draws, but you you got to be able to put your emotions aside. obviously when in a loss like that especially um with the last game they played take some time to yourself you don't have to go right away right after the game allow yourself to cool off you know so so you're think”
