Navy SEAL training is a challenging, primarily psychological process that tests whether an individual has the requisite commitment and mental fortitude.

“Most guys quit before evolutions or after, not during, surprisingly enough. Most people will quit in the anticipation of what's going to come, not really what comes.”

Navy SEAL training is designed to be excessively brutal because it is the only effective way to test whether a candidate has the mental fortitude to stay when faced with extreme suffering.

“they make it excessively brutal because um the really the only way to weed you out is is if you quit so they just make it as as horrible as possible”

The current culture within the Navy SEALs has degraded, moving away from a traditional brotherhood to a toxic environment where service members can be targeted and discarded by their own command.

“it's just such a degradation to the community and we still love the community we still have family you know our eddie's brothers and the community and and we're just we're worried you know about that”

He expresses that the culture of the Navy SEALs is defined by the enlisted operators rather than the leadership, and he remains proud of his service.

“you know the teams are made up from the enlisted you know the enlisted is what makes the teams the guys the shooters you know in the platoon not the not the headshed not the guys in charge of warcom you know they might make the decisions but they'll never be able to change how the culture you know t”
