He suggests that boundaries are necessary for categorization and hierarchy, but these must remain permeable to ensure fairness.

“we have to have a continual discussion about exactly where the boundary should be drawn without ever also presuming that we should just do away with boundaries altogether cuz that does away with category.”

“you know if you wish to conserve a liberal democracy then you have to be a conservative in this two-party system.”
