Hasan claims that online media like LivestreamFail is astroturfed and manipulated by those who intentionally create smear campaigns to damage his reputation.

“LSF has gone gone to the wind. It is completely astroturfed and brigaded and it's it's not even to the point where it's even worth looking at anymore.”

Nick argues that those who dislike a creator only increase their relevance by constantly watching and clipping their content to share on social media.

“The problem is the haters seem to be the ones that watch them the most. So, you'll watch an eight hour Hassan stream, hate him, clip him a thousand times to Twitter, but you're helping him by watching him.”
