He maintains that late night hosts like Jimmy Kimmel have aged out of their target demographic and their bitter political content has caused their ratings to plummet.

“I think there seems to be a pattern the pattern becomes you start thinking you're a bigger deal than you really are and you get a sense of bitterness Kimmel sounds bitter and you can't have that on Late Night”

He argues that LeBron James and late night hosts have contributed to a decline in their own viewership by alienating large portions of the audience with their divisive political stances.

Late-night television hosts are currently experiencing significant declines in their viewership and their efforts to collaborate on podcasts are unsuccessful.

Dave Rubin does not believe Jimmy Kimmel should be fired, as he trusts in the free market to address poor content rather than seeking government or corporate intervention.

“So, I am not personally, Dave Rubin is not calling for Jimmy Kimmel to be fired because of a joke. It was a bad joke and particularly to the backdrop of almost another assassination attempt to to imply that Melania is going to be a widow soon even though it was, you know, 2 days before.”

Stephen Colbert's late-night show was cancelled because it lost money and lacked humor, not due to political censorship by the network.
