The current administration's methodology of blowing up boats suspected of trafficking is both legally questionable and a departure from standard U.S. procedures.

“But the Trump administration has decided instead simply to blow up those boats with the argument that the people on them are what they call narco terrorists. And there's a bunch of things about that that are uh funny before I get into the legality.”

While the operation is a violation of international law and hurts America's moral authority, it is beneficial for the Venezuelan people because it ends the plundering of their country.

“If you're saying to me, was this right? Rules-based postw World War II order, this was wrong. If you're telling me, could this be beneficial to the Venezuelan people and beneficial to their living standards and could this be an opportunity to see a revitalize Venezuela? I think it's very fact-based ”

The removal of Maduro may be beneficial for the Venezuelan people who have suffered under his rule, but it raises serious legal questions and concerns regarding long-term stability and US overreach.

“It could lead to a country that is more stable for the Venezuelan people. Um less corrupt for the Venezuelan people, gives them more opportunities and access to resources. But I think it would be remiss of anyone in America to not look at some of the recent past and think, okay, you have to have you”

The current US military actions and attempt to rule Venezuela are likely to lead to a disastrous long-term insurgency and failure.

“The minute we go on the ground, we're screwed.”

The invasion of Venezuela was a poorly planned operation that failed to achieve any meaningful geopolitical goals or security improvements.

“No. What do you mean? We didn't accomplish anything. It's the same administration. We're not getting any oil. All we did was waste money on deposing a foreign leader. We didn't get anything for it.”

The US invasion of Venezuela is a positive action that serves national security by checking China and Russia and dealing with the country's terrorist links.

“So, from my perspective, uh for the time being, I only see positives with the you know, Trump invading Venezuela situation. So, again, it gets China out of South America.”

The United States is justified in using economic pressure against Venezuela to depose its communist dictator and reclaim stolen oil interests.

“If we drilled for the oil and helped your industry and then you nationalized it and stole it on behalf of your communist dictatorship that that's a bad thing.”
