Pat McAfee argues that JJ Redick is a qualified candidate for the Lakers head coaching job because he is a basketball junkie with 15 years of NBA experience.

“If an ex player with 15 years of experience who is a basketball Junkie who was able to Showcase his big brain in the mind game podcast with the star of the team who happens to be LeBron James and didn't seem to be nervous would he not be a guy who was seemingly a good candidate for the job”

Boston Connor believes hiring JJ Redick makes sense for the Lakers because he has deep experience in locker rooms and a good relationship with LeBron James.

“if you're just betting on some wouldn't you want to bet on a guy who's been in locker rooms he's played in different eras of the NBA obviously CU he played for so damn long and you know he does have a good relationship with LeBron”
