Channing does not want his work to be defined by drama, chaos, or messiness just to generate clicks or engagement.

“I don't believe all content is good content. I don't believe all publicity is good publicity. I don't think it has to be I don't think we have to be gossipy. I don't think we have to be messy. I don't think we have to always be chaotic. I don't always think that we have to create some level of drama”

Fred believes that sports media figures have the right to express their opinions and that the resulting public debates are just a standard part of the current social media environment.

“Dan has an opinion. He's able to in his position say this is what I believe. You're 50% 50%. You you can be right one minute and the other minute you can be wrong. Uh so that's a coin flip, but it's his opinion.”

He believes the fragmented nature of modern audiences makes it unclear whether fans are recognizing complex issues in sports journalism without media prompting.

“I really do wonder cuz uh audiences are so fragmented now that I legitimately wonder if fans of our show are noticing on their own without us pointing it out”

He argues that modern sports media figures who do not face the consequences of their public political stances are being cowardly.

“I think it is so soft to not want to actually sit down and face the consequences of your decision. You don't want to even be triggered to have someone say to your face things aren't going great.”
