Joe Budden argues that Big Sean is intentionally vague with his diss records to avoid direct confrontation while causing unnecessary speculation.

“my problem with big sea is respectfully if you're watching Big Sea I mean no disrespect by this is anytime my problem with him is the vagueness in which come with his disses that's my problem with big sea”

He believes the Gunplay and DJ Envy beef was unnecessary and should have been avoided entirely.

“I don't like none of it that's why I stand on it stop telling me to pick a [ __ ] side you know what I mean there's no side to be picked the side that I'm on is the side that don't want to see nobody get hurt yes is decide that don't want to see nobody end up in some unnecessary [ __ ]”

Papoose maintains that rappers frequently use beef as a tactic to stay relevant or create false narratives, and he asserts that he only responds to disrespect with counter-disrespect.

“This [ __ ] always playing these disrespectful games trying to undermine people and all that. Like I'mma give him what he looking for.”
