He regrets having been too competitive to appreciate or watch other successful shows, such as The Office or Everybody Loves Raymond, earlier in his career.

“I did the same thing with Everybody Loves Raymond. Brilliant show Yeah. and I didn't let it in because Oh, right. it was competitive in my brain or something something.”

He believes one must sell themselves to others before they can effectively sell anything else.

“I truly believe you got to sell yourself before you sell anything. You got to sell yourself.”
