“we should rely less on technical artifacts or telltale signs to tell a scam and focus more on the likelihood that what we're hearing and seeing is real.”

The government should implement a total ban on the use of deepfake likenesses, or at the very least, mandate that they are clearly labeled.

“We need a just a national ban on like likenesses period. I know that the companies would fight with us but seriously I really think we just need all likenesses banned period. At the very least, it has to be really clearly marked, right?”

Matt Walsh argues that AI-generated content will fundamentally degrade public discourse by introducing fake media and causing people to doubt the legitimacy of authentic videos.

“The existence of AI won't simply introduce a lot of fake content into the discourse. It will also lead people to doubt the legitimacy of videos that are actually authentic, which which maybe be the most end up being the most harmful thing about it.”

“it's not could it's will all of this is will it will eventually can you imagine like get logging on and just watching a distractable episode that we didn't make that was generated by AI That's a believable passable episode”

Corporations will prioritize the speed and low cost of AI-generated content over the value of human artistic creation.

“it's cheap it's fast it's simple you don't have to go back and forth with an AI to get like new versions if you want changes you just tweak your prompt and it gives you a different like you know image or whatever spit out I don't really know it seems it seems tough to get past that issue”
