He maintains that knowing someone for 25 years makes it difficult to believe allegations of heinous criminal conduct against them.

He clarifies that Jay-Z's description of a demand letter as extortion is based on his perspective of being targeted for financial gain through the threat of public scandal.

“The reason why Jay-Z would see it as extortion is you got to start from the perspective from Jay-Z of I didn't do this so if you get a letter like that and you didn't do this why would I do any sort of legal procedure”
