He believes the cabinet meeting was a performative, sycophantic display rather than a productive government meeting.

“I I presume at the White House was another one of those kind of North Korea style or Russian style syopantic roundts where everybody celebrates Donald Trump.”

He observes that public cabinet meetings in the Trump administration are performative "glazing sessions" meant to praise the President.

“But then they spend obviously another huge part of it praising Trump about how everything is wonderful because of them and because of him and all of the work that their agency is accomplishing would not be possible without his leadership. And these are just the glazing sessions.”
