Emily Austin asserts that Joe Biden's interview on The View was a non-serious and softball affair designed to flatter him rather than engage in rigorous political questioning.

“I think it's safe we can all agree bipartisanly that we we knew what to expect come this interview it was a very softball fluff piece non hard-hitting interview that basically flattered Biden he's not running for re-election they're were very low stake low stakes I think it was more of um a feel-goo”

Louise Mensch claims that Joe Biden's statements about his polling numbers were dishonest because the data did not actually support his confidence in winning.

“the thing about Biden and this is really sad is he was like the the polls were showing I was pretty good no they weren't they literally weren't and he sounded so trumpy and when he was like well the polls I've seen show me a head they weren't showing him a head”
