Aesthetically appealing design is important in futuristic space exploration projects because it helps motivate and rally people around a vision.

“you want people to like rally around it you want it to feel like the future and future stuff has to look badass otherwise what's going to motivate you”

Artistic outlets are essential for maintaining humanity and well-being while living and working in space.

“man that's what we need to do to put the human and human space flight right we need to recognize that we're living there we need to bring our humanity with us that should be stuff that we enjoy and you should enjoy yourself when you're in space on a spaceship”
