The current economic system is fundamentally broken, favoring billionaires at the expense of the working class and causing a significant decline in living standards.

“Bottom line here is that both economically and politically the system is broken.”

Taxing the wealthy is necessary to pay for essential services and infrastructure.

“That's my point. Like and that's the other thing. We get we get looped into this with those [ __ ] We're getting taxed off efficiently. That's not even my point. Really efficient. That's not even my point. That is majority of Americans point. Tax the goddamn wealthy.”

The current tax system, which favors wealth over work, has created dangerous levels of inequality that must be addressed through policy reform.

“Right now >> American system is so out of whack that if you are a multi-billionaire, you probably pay a lower percentage in taxes than if you're a school teacher or a firefighter. >> You have levels of inequality that we've almost never seen.”

There is a direct link between democratic stability and an economy that broadly benefits society, as opposed to extractive systems that favor a small oligarchy.

“And that is one of the things that I think people miss when we talk about voting rights and about things like the taking away of voting rights is the really tight link between an economy that's fair for everybody and democracy.”

The current economic system is driven by vulture capitalism that prioritizes plunder over sustainability, leading to the liquidation of the middle class.

“And really anything that comes from Trump is an expression of vulture capitalism. And and this is not about sustainability. It's not about growth. It's about plunder.”

He argues that compound interest via broad stock market participation is the primary driver of wealth and should be utilized to cultivate American patriotism and reduce inequality.

“if you wanted to get to the root of it to pick one thing it's compound interest yeah that's the ball game so actually you have a generation of people who don't participate in that who end up being skeptical of capitalism”

The perception that the economic system is unfair is often a manipulative narrative used by politicians to appeal to envy rather than a reflection of reality.

“The fact that people rebel against reality doesn't mean they're being smart. It means they are being manipulative.”

There is a cultural divide between the American mentality of aspiring to reach wealth and the European tendency to resent the wealthy.

“In Ireland, when he was growing up as a kid, you drive by the house, although Ireland is doing very well now economically. Said, you want to burn the house down. So there's there's some resentment towards the rich and then there's some aspiration towards them.”

Many working-class Trump supporters are aspirational voters who do not resent the billionaire's displays of wealth.

“it doesn't bother them because there is an aspirational quality to many working-class voters, which is well, I want to have that, too.”

He believes that the public's current resentment toward successful entrepreneurs and billionaires is the result of years of anti-capitalist indoctrination in the school system.

“So to me, this hate towards rich people and successful people and entrepreneurs is because they were brainwashed for 12 years when they go to a school being around a bunch of people that support the biggest union, brainwashing these kids to hate job creators, and that's a problem.”
