Kenny Bednarek believes that he is capable of breaking the American record for the 100 meters.

“I feel like next year if if you know coach wants to do it with me, I feel like I want to go off that American record for the 100 meters.”

Melissa Jefferson-Wooden will likely win the gold in the 200 meter event.

“We know you're gonna double it up and you're gonna lead off an outstanding leg and you're gonna triple. So, you gonna threep. So, we we're pulling for you and we thank you.”

The main goal in championship races is to conserve as much energy as possible in early rounds.

“I'm not trying to expend any more than I have to to advance and get through the rounds. And so that's what I'm trying to do. And once I get to the finals, I'm going to drop the hammer.”

Organizing team-based triathlon events at the mass participation level would increase accessibility and engagement for the sport.

“I just thought, triathlon world should do, and when we do, we do these team tries and they'll be like, we'll go to these local triathlons and there'll be 200 competitors but only about three teams or four teams. And I think, what a lost opportunity? Because it's the team that makes the sport accessi”

Breaking a world record is a goal that will happen naturally through continued chemistry rather than through forced efforts.

“I think it's something that would just happen naturally um over time. You know, if you want it too bad, that's when you don't really get it when you want it. But I feel like with the chemistry that we have with each other, us doing relays more often with one another that it it will come in due time.”
