Layla considers Skid Row her favorite place to be because the environment provides mental stimulation and a sense of freedom from societal rules.

Rebecca perceives Skid Row as a desolate place comparable to an apocalypse or a waste heap where people exist in a state of misery.

“My thoughts on Skidro is it's um it's like an abandoned um warehouse. You know what I mean? It's like Chernobyl or something. And every single human being I see there, it's like they're treatment or garbage. You know what I mean? It's like I'm walking through an apocalypse, right?”
