“cash is money that we have already paid taxes on. So it has higher purchasing power than investments like let's say, a stock bond, mutual fund, ETF, or even privately held assets like private equity, private business interests, things like cryptocurrency.”

Charitable contributions should involve donating essential items like sleeping bags and gift cards to homeless individuals rather than giving cash.

“We can't just give them money uh because obviously this could, you know, be spent on drugs, which would be a bad thing. So, what we're going to do instead is we're going to go to Sainsbury's um or Tesco's or one of the I think Sainsbury's do gift cards. yeah. So, we can get them like £50 gift cards.”

Donating to nonprofit organizations is a responsible way to handle excess funds during a spending challenge.

“I'm going to be hopping on my phone and I'm going to split the remaining 4,600 between the British Red Cross and Cancer Research UK.”

He prefers to make charitable donations anonymously rather than publicly.

“I've only ever done anonymous.”

“The rich returned way way more than the poor. In fact they returned twice as much. So return rates of the rich were roughly 80% and return rates of the poor were roughly 40%.”
