He believes the coaching cycle has changed to be earlier and that this allows new coaches to have a better chance to reshape a roster quickly.

“College football's changed. you have the ability to flip your roster a lot faster than when I took over those other two programs.”

He commends the move to hire a new head coach early so they can implement their culture into the program immediately.

“I think this is a good move getting this thing done early and being able to kind of put your fingerprints on the uh kind of the franchise early here.”
