Nick Reiner spent, by his own account, roughly seventeen years cycling through rehab — paid for by his family — and still stands charged with killing his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner. Lindsay Clancy walked into a postpartum program on her own in December of 2022, was told her symptoms might be coming from her medication, and was discharged after one day. Now she's on trial in Plymouth Superior Court, accused of killing her three children. This week, three days of testimony landed hard. Patrick Clancy spent two full days on the stand. Jurors heard his 911 call and sat through first responders describing what they walked into. Then the prosecution set down nine prescription bottles in front of the jury — and most of them still had pills inside. If the defense is built on a woman drowning in medications her doctors kept switching, those bottles complicate that story. So does the question prosecutors keep circling back to: can someone in the middle of psychosis order takeout and time a twenty-five-minute errand down to the minute?
