In a candid interview, former Mormon bishop Nathan Hinckley shares his harrowing faith crisis after discovering disturbing truths about the church's history of polygamy, racism and truth-suppression. Despite initially dismissing "anti-literature," Hinckley reveals how reading the church's own Gospel Topics Essays forced him to confront realities that spiritually damaged him. Now using his platform to advocate for transparency and change within Mormonism, Hinckley's brutally honest journey exemplifies the trauma of having one's lifelong faith unceremoniously shattered.
