The UK’s latest boxing prodigy is rapidly climbing through the ranks: Moses Itauma. Many of his peers are already touting him as the next big thing. After an undefeated amateur career and a perfect start to life as a professional, Itauma has quickly become one of heavyweight boxing’s most exciting prospects. He made headlines with a devastating TKO of Dillian Whyte in under two minutes, and now, with a 22-0 record to his name, he’s ready to take the next step — challenging Filip Hrgović for the vacant IBF heavyweight title this Saturday night, live on DAZN. In this exclusive 40-minute sit-down with Piers Morgan, Moses opens up about the praise he’s received from the likes of Joe Rogan, what he hopes to achieve throughout his career, and the pressure and spotlight that come with being labelled a boxing prodigy. He also looks ahead to his huge bout on Saturday. Discussing his heritage, Moses reveals what it was like growing up in Slovakia with his mum, and how he was influenced by her family’s love of combat sports. He also talks about his Nigerian father — including the hilarious way his dad attempts to coach him before every fight despite having zero boxing experience. And Moses responds to former heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk’s claim that he would “beat him up” in the ring... 00:33 - Introduction 01:12 - Moses Itauma joins Piers 02:22 - Moses reacts to Joe Rogan’s comments about him 05:51 - Piers asks Moses “Do you think you have what it takes to live up to all the expectations and hype? 07:15 - Moses on being himself 08:00 - Moses on his early life in Slovakia and his identity 10:07 - Piers asks Moses “Where did you get your fighting spirit from?” 14:00 - Moses on his childhood 16:38 - Piers asks Moses “Will you be apprehensive before getting into the ring on Aug 29th?” 18:45 - Teddy Atlas’ comparison of Moses Itauma to Mike Tyson 21:25 - Moses on meeting Mike Tyson 22:10 - Moses on how he’d handle defeat 23:20 - Moses on Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua 26:26 - Relationship and religion 30:40 - Moses on bar scraps 31:52 - Piers asks Moses: “Do you think Usyk could break you?” 35:00 - Will Arsenal win the Premier League again this season? 37:11 - Moses on his parent’s spirit and faith in his boxing Subscribe to stay up-to-date on all Uncensored content.
